Sea Trout Eldorado – Sea Trout Fishing in Northern Norway
Not a Bad Place to Go Fishing.
Personally guided by Teemu Vehviläinen, founder of Grayling Guide.

Chasing Sea Trout in Northern Norway
A private, all-inclusive sea trout expedition in the fjords of Northern Norway. Imagine standing knee-deep in clear water, casting a shrimp fly along a promising shoreline under snow-covered mountains – while wild sea trout hunt just beneath the surface.
For three days we explore secluded beaches, wade rocky shorelines and use a rubber boat to reach water away from the usual access points. Experienced sea trout angler or first time in salt water, your guide helps you make the most of the conditions.
Your adventure begins where the mountains meet the sea.

Fly Fishing and Spinning
Sea trout are wild, sea-run brown trout that feed along the coast on shrimp and small fish. Fishing them in the fjords is about exploring the shoreline, finding the right water and adapting to the changing conditions.
We mainly fish flies – especially shrimp patterns – and spinning is welcome too, including bombarda with a shrimp fly. The reward might be a beautifully silver sea trout taking your fly in clear, shallow water. That’s what makes sea trout fishing so addictive.

Beyond the Road – Exploring the Fjords by Boat
Our destination is usually the Alta fjord, with dramatic mountains and long shorelines to explore. Many of the most interesting spots are hard to reach from the road, which is why the expedition includes a rubber boat.
Once ashore, we wade and fish the coastline. The programme is flexible: we choose the locations by weather, wind, tides and your preferences. The goal isn’t to cover kilometres – it’s to make the most of the fishing.

Three Days on the Fjords
The Sea Trout Eldorado is a three-day private expedition with 2–3 nights in a cabin or tipi tent. The itinerary is planned around weather, tides, sea conditions and your arrival and departure times.
You choose camp or cabin: camping keeps you close to the water and the atmosphere of the Arctic coast, while a cabin offers a more sheltered place to rest. Either way, a warm meal waits after the day – and sometimes dolphins swim by.

Private Guiding. A Personal Expedition.
Sea Trout Eldorado is a private expedition for two to four anglers with one dedicated guide. Fly fishing is the main focus, but spinning is welcome too, and no previous sea trout experience is needed.
Weather and tides make every day in the fjords different. When the circumstances are right, you won’t believe the quality of the fishing. Be ready for long days outdoors, wading along the coast and changing Arctic weather.
