Fly Fishing for Wild Trout in New Zealand

New Zealand is one of my favourite places in the world for fly fishing. I’ve travelled there many times, exploring beautiful rivers and chasing wild brown and rainbow trout in spectacular landscapes.

Imagine spotting a large trout in crystal-clear water, carefully getting into position and making that one perfect cast. Sight fishing is one of the most exciting parts of New Zealand fly fishing – as challenging as it is rewarding. From open valleys to rivers winding through rainforest, the scenery is every bit as memorable as the fishing.

Rivers, Landscapes and Fishing Experiences

I know several fishing areas particularly well, especially around Hawke’s Bay on the North Island, and I’ve also explored waters on the South Island.

If you have a group of anglers interested in New Zealand, I can join you as your guide and help organise a personalised trip – fishing destinations, accommodation and daily itinerary planned around your interests, experience and time. There are no fixed packages or schedules: every trip is arranged individually.
